your right, its the exact same for discrimination.
I think the constitution protects any citizen from discrimination based on their sexual orientation. Just like it protects against discrimination based on the color of their skin.
What kind of free democracy can dictate to a select group of citizens who they can love? Who they marry? Tell businesses its okay to fire this person, refuse them service at a public business? Discriminate in housing?
Seems to me that this is a home run on all sides. Right wingers should be saying the government is not allowed to dictate to citizens how they lead their personal lives. Dictate who should be discriminated agaisnt and who shouldn't.
Doesn't really matter if you "evolve" your thinking or not. The tide of history has turned. The vast majority of Americans could care less if they have gay neighbors, co-workers or boss. It's irrelevant for most.
