Probably makes sense for him to take the WWE offer though at his age and deteriorating skills. Its still a lot of money, except he doesn't have to train nearly as much to fake wrestle.
Basically about a month or two of work per year to just stay in shape and fake wrestle vs at least 6-7 months worth of work training for the UFC to get punched in the face, concussed, and probably knocked out. |
It's a shame he was never 100% once he got diverticulitis. He fought scared and defensive once that happened and he wasn't the same, his confidence was gone and his heart wasn't in it any longer. Can't fight top talent and expect to be competitive with a mindset like that..not in real fighting. Good decision on his part I guess. What he was able to do just off of his natural god givien ability and wrestling background in that short amount of time was impressive.
