It's funny people mentioning Grbac.
Billick was on the radio yesterday telling a Grbac story. The radio host asked him about whether there was a chance the Cowboys would pull Dak for Romo if Dak struggled and what considerations would they have.
Billick said that in a playoff game against the Steelers he had Grbac starting and Randall Cunningham on the bench. Grbac was having a god awful game (as opposed to his usual meh game) and Billick was thinking about benching him and putting Cunningham in the second half. Ultimately he didn't because he didn't want Grbac to think he lost faith in him and didn't want to mess with his psyche the next year. Billick then goes on to say "He played poorly in the second half, we lost the game and then Grbac went and pulled a surprise retirement on me anyway."
