Could be as simple as it's hard for him to shoot a woman.

Whatever it is I think it's good to put a chink in his armor, it makes him more human, and creates possibilities for tension later on (including next week when he tells Boyd she's gone).

Season's building towards lots of interesting stuff. I'm really curious to see the outcome of Johnny and Wynn's meeting. Which might also be next week, if Wynn and Boyd are having another sit-down. Do they knife Boyd in the back, or does Wynn use Johnny as a marker to gain Boyd's trust? Or is it all a setup of some kind with Boyd and Johnny working Wynn? (don't think it is)
