You really get it all in this one, castle siege warfare, open field battles, of course awesome locales... but the kicker is the battle realism... i mean, THIS is what it must have looked like, the butchery is just incredible. One particular scene where the hero tells his men to clear him a path on the ramparts of a castle wall to get at some Norman siegers who'd made it over the wall was pure. awesomeness. You really see what a power stroke from a broadsword would do to a man.

Gotta give my review for Ironclad a D- for failing to mention Paul Giamattis AWESOME performance as King John, his rant on being a king to the always powerful Brian Cox is pure, maniacal genius. That scene is worth the price of the rent alone, trust me.
Also caught Where the Wild Things Are last night, couldnt have loved it any more. The book was always a top favorite as a kid & the movie doesnt disappoint. It looks exactly like it should. If you want to feel like a kid again, check it out.
