You buy COD Ghost or whatever it's called. Download it to your HD. You drunkingly show up at my house one night in pink spandex with the game to play. We download it to my HD, play it all night until CJizzles ruins the evening so you leave & take your disc with you.

I liked the game. It's already installed on my HD but I can't play it. So instead of driving to Gamestop, or WalMart, or wherever - I simply unlock the game on my console never having to buy a disc.

It's actually very similar to how it is now except now you MUST have the disc in order to play.
That completely kills the game rental market though. Trade in values will be even worse now as well.

I still think if they want to push the downloadable market they need to make the games cheaper to purchase online. I find it downright stupid that they charge the same online as they do for in store. Sony addressed that with the Vita making all first party titles $5 cheaper if you purchase it through PSN. Hopefully they carry that forward to the PS4. Hopefully MS does that too.
