I still don't buy her love of her children at all. She loves power, and that is all. If she loved her children, she would have let Stannis or Renly have the Iron Throne. The rest is just her using them to manipulate others, especially Jamie and Tywin.
I really enjoyed it, and didn't miss Lady Stoneheart at all. Her appearance didn't fit with the season 4 themes. I wouldn't be surprised to hear they shot it, and didn't include it after looking at the whole episode.
