I'm old and my perspective is slanted because of it, but my list of "best QB ever" candidates will always start with Otto Graham and John Unitas. Elway was a great QB; just not the "greatest" IMO.

edit: Put most of todays QB's on the field with the rules Graham and Unitas played under and they'd last about as long as Brodie Croyle.
