Okay, we have some complicated trade decisions this year. Here's the Duluth scenario.

First, we don't have Kelcie McCray on the roster so we can't trade him. Therefore, we start out with the following picks:

1-28 (28th pick)
2-28 (59th pick)
4-28 (126th pick)
5-25 (162nd pick)
6-28 (203rd pick)
7-28 (249th pick)

We will reject the first Chiefs trade down scenario with the 49ers, and we will accept the second one with the Buccaneers (trading our 59th pick for their 74th and 106th picks). This puts us with the following picks:

1-28 (28th pick)
3-11 (74th pick)
4-8 (106th pick)
4-28 (126th pick)
5-25 (162nd pick)
6-28 (203rd pick)
7-28 (249th pick)

We will now initiate a trade down with the Bears, as follows:

We give up our 1-28 (28th pick) valued at 660 points x .65 = 429 points.

In return, we get their 2-25 (56th pick), 4-15 (113th pick), and 6-10 (185th pick). Those picks are valued at 340+68+17.4 points = 425.4 points.

That puts our picks as follows:

2-25 (56th pick)
3-11 (74th pick)
4-8 (106th pick)
4-15 (113th pick)
4-28 (126th pick)
5-25 (162nd pick)
6-10 (185th pick)
6-28 (203rd pick)
7-28 (249th pick)

We will now make a trade up with the Bengals, as follows:

We give up our 5-25 (162nd pick) and 6-28 (203rd pick). These are valued at 26.6*.85 points and 10.2*.85 points for a total of 31.27 points. In return, we will receive their 5-24 (161st pick) and 7-24 (245th pick). These are valued at 27 and 2 points for a total of 29 points.

This now puts us with the following picks:

2-25 (56th pick)
3-11 (74th pick)
4-8 (106th pick)
4-15 (113th pick)
4-28 (126th pick)
5-24 (161st pick)
6-10 (185th pick)
7-24 (245th pick)
7-28 (249th pick)

These trades follow all the rules because:

- I'm initiating no more than one trade up.
- I'm initiating no more than one trade down (other than a Chiefs trade that I'm accepting)
- When trading down, I'm discounting my draft points by 35 percent and gaining no more than two additional picks and not gaining draft points.
- When trading up, I'm discounting my draft points by 15 percent and gaining no more than two additional picks and not gaining draft points.

So those are my draft choices now. In the next post I'll detail my draft.
