Ironically, the lower weight classes often are a lot more entertaining. The heavyweight class in title equivalent matches is where you will see a lot more plodding along and "hugging".
With the nutrition, and training these days guys have absurdly crushing punching power. So, they have to be on guard to a much greater degree because it doesn't need to be a "clean" shot for a number of these guys to drop their guy. Lower weight class guys will still "trade" shots and is what people typically find exciting.
On a sidenote. My favorite is getting to see a fighter "tap the button". The much less seen body knockout.
