I think McLemore should come back next year to round out his game because of that and other things. He's not ready, but he'll enter the draft and be out of the league in four years like a majority of the guys which is the norm, not everyone makes it big, it's like the lottery. Bmac has some issues he needs to work on, like his handle, driving to the rim in traffic, and being more aggressive on a consistent basis. If he comes out this year, he will be top 3. But now there is a rookie salary structure.
In 1987 Danny Manning could have come out, and he would have been the second pick behind David Robinson. His father told Danny he wasn't ready, and Danny listened. The next year his game hit another level, and we won the National Championship.
I am not saying we can't win it this year, but if he comes back, he can work on all those aspects of his game, and play with some of the most talented kids in the country. He could really mature as a person, and a player, and will still be top 3 in the draft. And he would average more minutes a game in the NBA if he stayed another year because he worked on those aspects of his game, and would be more mature.
I want his family to have everything Ben wants for them, but I bet they want what's best for Ben. I wish him nothing but the best either way. He will be a beloved Jayhawk for life.
