My absolute favorite sandwich!
Whenever I hit a deli or bar that serves a philly, I will get the philly. It is hit and miss with the establishment.
The best philly I ever had was this Czech bar in Denver. The guy in the kitchen was one hell of a cook- everything he made was fabulous. It was mostly Czech food, but out of this world. One night, our pool team was playing and the cook put a Philly sandwich on the menu for the night- it was the absolute BEST damn sandwich I'd ever eaten! I begged them to add it to the menu, but it never showed up.
