When Maryland eventually does make its move to the Big Ten, it does not necessarily mean the rivalry will die. An annual non-conference game is always possible, along with a potential meeting during the annual Big Ten-ACC Challenge that takes place early during each season. But the scheduling could lie with Duke, and its desire to play a program that has given it several headaches through the years.

Duke doesn't care about Maryland. UNC and NC State are significantly bigger rivals for them. Not a loss with Louisville filling that spot.
