What's funny is if a WR has to make a one handed catch on a Cassel pass you guys are all over him for throwing a bad pass. Wylie makes a sensational 1 handed grab on a pass from Stanzi and he is Tom Brady. He is inconsistent with his accuracy. He underthows then overthrows then drops one in. Rinse and repeat. We saw a classic case of it Friday. I want the kid to do good but I can't pretend what we see isn't really what we saw.

What you say here regarding Stanzi is the truth and was his M.0 in college. You had two types of Hawkeye fans with him at QB. One was the kind that hated him, and couldn't wait until the Stanzi era was over. The other side loved him, and thought he was the next Tom Brady. There was no in between on him in Iowa City. If I could compare anyone to Stanzi, I would say he is a Jake Plummer clone minus the overall athletic ability. Someone that can WOW you one play, and contemplate hiring a hitman to kill him on the next. That's the kind of player Ricky Stanzi is and always will be IMHO...and I have watched a ton of Stanzi both live and on TV.
