I imagine they would keep the first year base low to minimize the cap number and allow them flexibility to go out and get an impact CB, if one becomes available this year. Or they could extend Fuller and give him more up front to minimize impact in a few years when you’re paying Mahomes & Jones big money. Either way works for me.

I’m always confused why they want lower cap figures early on. A bigger cap number early on would help with other big deals upcoming since we have some space now correct?
