I can only speak for myself. I, as a regular fan, only know about a certain number of players. Casual fans know even less. Casual fans don't know jack.

Having been a sportswriter, I can tell you this with confidence: a vast majority of the guys in the sports media are just guys, like you and me. They don't know what's really going on. It definitely applies when they post mock drafts.
