but this week is another good example in REGULAR fantasy football why you should NEVER DRAFT A RB IN THE FIRST 3 ROUNDS
Tre Mason
Bryce Brown
Denard Robinson
All RB2's now
all free for the taking on the wire
Jordy Nelson's don't grow on trees. Ahmad Bradshaw's do.
Man, a redraft standard league? Obviously DeMarco would go #1 overall (I still wouldn't take him) but here's how I'd draft if I had the first 10 picks and was competing against myself:
1. Peyton
2. Jordy
3. Demaryius
4. Jimmy Graham (if healthy)
5. Rodgers
6. Antonio Brown
7.
ah shit I'll stop there
I mean, as of right now in a PPR league obviously DeMarco, Jamaal, Forte, Arian etc... have value.
But does anyone really think all 4 of those guys make it through the 2nd half of the season without injury?
I draft definites. Clearly, AJ Green/Calvin etc...aren't guarantees. But receivers take a hell of a lot less of a beating than RB's and their is a ton of less risk.
I'm stacked in a league, most points by far, 2 QB league I had the #1 pick (took Peyton).
I have :
Peyton/Romo
Ellington/Lamar Miller/Bradshaw/Tre Mason/Bryce Brown/Rashad Jennings/Monte Ball
Jordy/Cobb/Crabtree
Cameron/Kelce
I cannot be beat in that PPR league and I don't have a single actual 'what was considered' good RB to start the year. I spent my important picks on Peyton/Romo/Jordy/Cobb/Ellington
and I'll do it every year
and I'll keep profiting because of it
