With everyone pretty much at the same point in the story now (with a few exceptions, but none rising to major spoiler level), and as we wait for the book and/or show to be released or start up again, there will be some who want to know everything they can about what is going on (i.e. casting and filming rumors and other spoilerish gossip), while others will want to wait and not know ahead of time that Kit Harrington is filming scenes for Season 6, etc.
So Spoiler and non-spoiler threads might still be needed, but for different reasons now.

I don't see how casting or filming rumors would be considered spoilers? Speculation about what's to come isn't a spoiler either. I think since the addition of spoiler tags people have gone out of their way to spoiler everything here.
