There's nothing better than actual game experience. He may not be hot shit his first year but if he is going to succeed in the NFL I don't think that playing him year 1 is going to devastate their growth and ruin them as a QB.

If Geno goes to the Raiders he will fail and same with the Jaguars. They dont have coaching there for him.
However the Eagles and Chiefs do!!
Remember Alex Smith did not get an extension. He has 2 years on his contract. Say Alex does average the next 2 years Geno can step in right away and produce quickly because of the coaching. It will be the same situation with Rodgers and Favre.
