It’s a moving target and in my experience, all of these TV’s look amazing once they’re in the home.

I wouldn't say all of them look amazing. My father "upgraded" to a 4k LG tv and I feel his 1080p plasma is loads better. I've tried to tweak the settings and nothing makes the picture on the 4k tv look anywhere close to his plasma. I haven't said any of this to him because I don't want him to feel like he got a bad deal as he is very happy with the purchase.
