I'm still not sure why KC hasn't marketed google fiber connection to tech firms and startups. The low overhead, decent commutes, and just out of control bandwidth could have spurred serious levels of interest in the city. That ship has passed though.

They have their 'business class' coming out soon I believe, which is a bit more dedicated. The current service is delivered via GPON I believe, so its still shared contention network. It's just not going to bottlebeck until more people know about GF. I'd like to see some speedtests during peak hours or when the rest of the neighborhood gets on board.
