At least on the PS3, you have to actually go to the store to buy anything. You don't have to worry about accidental purchases because they verify you every step of the way. I prefer that on a console.

That's odd. I've had my little kids locked down for just that reason and even before downloading a free trial I have to go down and enter my password.
