When a 100 people are standing up with there hand over their heart and you're sitting there alone with your arms crossed, yeah, you'll kinda stand out like a sore thumb.
Whatever your intentions might be, people will view you as a self serving asshole simply looking to be defiant.....because...well...no matter what you're excuse might be, that's REALLY what you're actually doing.
And for what reason, really? What does it matter?
Like i said, i don't believe in God. But i'll bow my head. What difference does it make if i do? Do i now have to go to Church every Sunday if i do?
Nope. It doesn't matter.
That's my point. It doesn't matter if you do or don't. So why make yourself look like an asshole? What repercussions do you face by simply going along with it?
