This show has been phenomenal. I am excited that it has a definite ending already in place (4 seasons total). That should keep all stories and plots tight and relevant. One of my favorite things so far was the nod to Fight Club in one of the last episodes when they covered The Pixies, "Where is my mind" on piano. ****ing awesome.

While out drinking with a friend, also a huge fan, it hit me that this show is the answer to the question, "What does Tyler Durden do next?" Once he accomplishes his goal and realizes he is mentally ****ed where does he go? What does he do? At this moment Elliot is essentially Tyler after he pulls the trigger in the office tower at the end of the film.

All this. There are so many nods to that movie (everything from lighting, to seeing a specific character in every episode, to the themes.)

At first I couldn't make up my mind if this series ripped it off with a twist or was paying homage to it. I think in many ways it's just an updated take on all those themes.

I figured I'd be bored with a USA Network hacker show but this might be my favorite new show since Breaking Bad.
