Were you a professional athlete? Were you required to lift weights, run, meet conditioning specifications, practice and play at a starting NFL playing level?
I used to see and hang out with Chiefs players in the late 80's and early 90's at various bars all over Kansas City, including strip clubs (where many were regulars).
But I never met or saw the type of drugged out drunkeness described in that article. Guys would have a few beers at most, not stumble around incoherently and be a train wreck.
Now, all of us back in the day witnessed Tommy Morrison's drunken buffoonery but not the week of or days before a fight.
It's just difficult to comprehend that he could fool dozens of people every single day. But I suppose it's possible.
