S05E10 - Marie asks Skyler if she knew about Walt before Hank got shot, Marie slaps Skyler.
the ONLY reason Hank got shot is because Gus offered him up to pacify them for not being allowed to kill Walt.
MARIE doesn't know that. technically......it's not Skylers fault Hank got shot......technically. Skyler made no attempt to defend herself...understandably. I just found the scene interesting in that Marie jumped right into....it's Walts fault Hank was shot. it's kinda not..... |
Hank and Marie know that Hank got shot as a result of whoever the resident drug kingpin was and his investigation into said kingpin. They now know that Walt was associated with (or actually was) that kingpin. Therefore, Walt is partially to blame for Hank getting shot. Thus, he gets slapped.
This isn't rocket science. If anything, their suspicions may be even WORSE than the actuality of the situation and deserving of much more than a slap. As far as they know, Walt actually ordered the hit on Hank.
