Organizations blow late-round picks on gadget players all of the time. Brad Smith, for example, was drafted in the fourth round by the Jets.
They've given up slightly more and acquired, basically, the same player. When Smith was drafted, no one in his right mind thought he was going to be the QB.
Same thing should apply in NY this time around; the organization traded for a wildcat option. Tebow is not and will never be a QB, so the trade isn't a disaster at all, with proper leadership from the team.
Rarely are gadgets selected at #36 overall, and I don't know anyone who would claim that McBust doesn't fill that role.
