Those stripes that come from the logo represent the state line with it being a true KC team that Kansas and Missouri both share.

Nice incorporation of the logo, but I'm not in love with it either. I kind of like simple and plain designs. I may be one of hte few who hopes we never get a primary sponsor on our shirts.
