I will say some people in the trans community are fine with the word Tranny. If they are the ones using it. I'll refer to myself as a tranny to my friends but not necessarily in public. Like if I'm going to a trans support group I might say to my friend "Well I'm off to hang with some trannys"

So kind of like fat people don't mind too much if they're buddies jokingly called them a fattie. But suddenly if a stranger says it, it's offensive to them
