That's a damn shame. Pitt is phenomenally talented. He's one of those actors/actresses who can just soak up the screen/dominate the screen without making it seem like he's trying hard.
It's a damn shame for the show, too. I think Boardwalk Empire would have been a much better and more complete story had Jimmy been part of it the entire way.
Just thinking about it, there are so many interesting things they could have done with it. How cool would it have been to see Jimmy working with Lucciano and Lansky to take control of everything? Or working with Capone to try to help Nucky address Murder, Inc.
