Not only that but Lysa was the one who murdered the Hand(her husband). She did so at the request of Littlefinger. She also sent the letter at the request of Littlefinger. So basically Littlefinger has manipulated everyone to start a war that ripped the Kingdom apart and has caused the death of many many people.

I don't think that Littlefinger wanted to start a war. I think he just wanted to be close to Catelyn by getting her to Kings Landing. Of course, once the war started he took full advantage. Remember, the war started after Joffery decided to execute Ned instead of him taking the black like Varys, Cersi, and Littlefinger wanted. Basically, Littlefinger didn't account for a deluded sociopath being on the throne.
