An actual honest look into those numbers would show you that the Big 12 had only 3 of the first 64 picks, as well as 9 in the first 4 rounds including comp picks.

That leaves 16/25 drafted players from the big 12 coming in rounds 5-7. A healthy 64% of this vaunted group of talent was selected in the hail mary rounds.
For comparison sake, the SEC had 32 players selected in the first 4 rounds, more than the entire number of players drafted from your little big league. Another way of putting it would be to say that the SEC had 355% more players selected in rounds 1-4.
It was already shown, and obviously ignored since there is no argument, the draft value of the players selected by the respective schools. The total value for the 3 KU kids combined comes out to the 22nd pick in the 4th round.
