First, the reason I came back here was to mention the 'Who Charted' with James Adomian. I usually listen to even the good comedy podcasts and chuckle mentally but not audibly. I'm more of comedy analyzer than an easy laugh, but I have been rolling the entire episode. Wee-wee is coming up with great off the wall questions and Adomian is such a quick wit with such a roster of impersonations.

Also, Maron WENT OFF [IMO] on WTF on a couple of thinly veiled comedy scenes in defense of Jake Johannson when he was on. Ranted for a good five minutes about how some pockets of young comedians are exclusionary and cliquish and not respectful or inclusive enough of the guys who have been around and pioneered the business and are still doing good work. Pretty sure he was referring to the CBB, UCB, NNF contingents in LA. I know a little of the history of Maron being Odenkirk's and Cross' red-headed stepchild around the time they didn't bring him on to Mr. Show.

Pretty repetitive and pretty clearly just a set of miscommunications between an emotional guy and a logical guy, always a potential powderkeg.

You might want to try Mohr stories. It's often just a bunch of funny, but last month there was an episode with Gary Gulman that was one of the most surreal and moving things I've EVER heard. Basically, they're old friends with bouts of passive-aggression in their wilder days, including Gulman tackling Mohr off the stage [whether as a bit or in genuine anger is disputed] at a gig. They started off real silly, almost like a couple giggling girls at a slumber party sharing inside jokes. Then Mohr hits on some resonant questions that recalled Gulman's childhood and suddenly Gulman is literally spilling his guts about pain and disappointments and how it's affected him for life and they morph into this impromptu therapy session with 'love you bro's' abounding. Highly recommended as, as I said, one of the most unique things I've ever heard.
