The Chiefs start the game with their best drive of the year. They go right down the field thanks to some slick passing by Montana. Then it's a classic handoff to Marcus Allen at the goal line. Touchdown Kansas City!
The Chiefs defense would start to dominate from this point forward while the offense bogged down. Pittsburgh finally got going with a big throw to TE Eric Green with 6 minutes left before halftime.
The Steelers went ahead 7-6 at this point thanks to a missed extra point by Nick Lowery due to the rain and shitty EA Sports programming. Later in the second quarter, Montana had a drive going, but on third down, future HOFer Rod Woodson laid JJ Birden the **** out.
The Steelers still couldn't do anything with the football though. Kevin Ross made Neil O'Donnell pay just before halftime.
Disaster then struck for KC, as the Steelers ran the second half kickoff back for a TD.
The Chiefs would make a game of it, however. On the ensuing drive, Marcus Allen got free down the left sideline thanks to great blocking from Jonathan Hayes and Kimble Anders. Unlike last week, this time he was not caught from behind.
Another missed Lowery XP left the score at 14-12. The Chiefs defense continued to dominate, and after they forced a punt, Montana turned in a beautiful play to get the ball inside the red zone.
First and goal turned into third and goal, however. That was when Montana again showed his San Francisco form, with a fine throw into the teeth of Pittsburgh's defense.
The missed extra point was no concern, as again KC's defense stuffed Pittsburgh. Neil Smith got free for a big sack, though O'Donnell missed a receiver running wide open over the middle.
Would the Chiefs 18-14 lead hold? After a KC punt, the Steelers moved the ball inside the Kansas City. But on 4th and 3, Tracy Rogers made the biggest play of the Chiefs season so far.
All the Chiefs had to do was run out the clock. It was Marcus Allen time.
CHRIST MARCUS. OF ALL TIMES. But wait, the NFL decided to invent replay review just for this particular play, and the Chiefs retained possession. Allen was clearly down.
With the game in hand, the Chiefs decided to shove that pigskin right up Pittsburgh's ass. JOE MONTANA IS BACK BABY. 24-14 Chiefs with another beautiful XP shank.
Neil O'Donnell flashed his future Super Bowl form on Pittsburgh's desperation drive and Bennie Thompson went and stunted on that ass.

Marcus Allen chipped in 98 yards rushing and 86 receiving. At 2-2, the Chiefs have plenty of life, and are a game back of Denver and John Elway in the West.
