I saw it in the theater. It is the actual play, but in a modernized setting. I can't tell you if it is line for line. I haven't read the play in its entirety for a very long time. I love Shakespeare, and the performances in this are really quite good, but it still ended up a little boring. The oddest part is that the action and battle stuff is what drags a bit. It's a minor complaint, and it is a very relevant play. I would definitely recommend it for a Shakespeare fan, or a moderate Shakespeare interest. If you aren't fond of the language, it probably isn't a good choice.
Visually, it is fantastic, and production value is top notch. Hope you enjoy it if you choose to watch it!
