Definitely. The scene where the T-1000 "revived" the original T-800 and it was hunting Reese was the most intense of the film. It seemed so relentless and dangerous, unlike that piece of shit from Salvation.

The recreation of scenes from the original Terminator were Goddamn near flawless. I had just watched the original the night before seeing this, and it was really impressive how it was done.

That being said, Jai Courtney's complete and utter failure to match Michael Biehn's performance as Kyle Reese was glaringly apparent having just watched the original. Biehn is on edge, almost frantic when he demands information from the officer about the date, screaming at the officer "WHAT YEAR!?"

Jai Courtney looked to be almost comatose delivering that line. Casually asking what day it was, and when told, calmly asked what year.

Jai Courtney's Kyle Reese held the film back. He is in no way portraying the character that Michael Biehn brought to life in the original. Had THAT Kyle Reese character been in this film, it would have been spectacular. Courtney comes off as wooden, and completely ****ing generic in almost every single possible way. It was a travesty that he was cast as such an important, iconic character in the franchise.

Loved the CGI 1984 T-800. Looked amazing. Also really dug the "Old. Not Obsolete." line in the film.
The original T-800 did look amazing and the Terminator scene recreations were a nice touch.

I also have to agree about Courtney. He did NOT have the feel of a guy that was born into and grew up in a post-apocalyptic world fighting tooth and nail to survive the machine onslaught. He was far too nonchalant and not nearly frantic enough.
