I have a three year old and a one year old and traveling with them by trailer is awesome. We can bring all of their favorite food and toys. The youngest sleeps in a portacrib, but the oldest has a bunk bed that's just hers where she can curl up and play with her stuff. They really enjoy taking trips that way and it's much easier than lugging all of that stuff in and out of hotels. Plus when we get to a campground there is typically more they can do than if we were in a hotel.

It's a great way to go if you have pets too. Our dog is pretty neurotic and will bark if he hears a noise. If he's in the trailer he does much better because he knows it and has his favorite spots to lay in the sun and wait for us to come back.

That said, if you prefer going to exotic locations or big cities for your vacations then it's probably not the best way to go.
