I love Gary Allan. But I have to be in the right mood. Some days, I think his songs are my favorite ever, then other days I just can't listen to him. But it isn't very often that he puts one out that I dislike.

Gary is definately mood music. Pretty much all of his stuff is a little dark in tone and about loss... which is by design. When his wife died years ago he said publically that everything he would do from that point on was about her... and you can hear it.
Incidentally you can now hear him moving past his pain with the new song.
