Trufant will more than likely be picked a tad too early in the draft this spring partially due to his family background. He’s a big name thanks to his brother Marcus, but just doesn’t appear physical enough to trust every Sunday. He will need to start off in a slot roll for his first year or two in the NFL. Although his speed and quickness is something to be intrigued about, his consistency in coverage, and lack of run game will truly hinder his playing ability in the league. I think he has great upside, and will eventually become a decent contributor for somebody. His style of play is similar to Asante Samuel, or Kelly Jennings. Could he help our Kansas City Chiefs? Probably. But we could also do better with our mid-round picks.
