Was over at the Uptown Theater for a big local metal festival. The only bands worth seeing were Vanlade and Ascension, so before they went on I walked over to Gomer's Midtown. Picked up some bombers:
Southern Tier Iniquity (Imperial Black IPA) -- it's a double IPA that's made with dark malt
Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye -- an IPA with a significant amount of rye in the grain bill.
Great Divide Fifteenth Anniversary Ale -- this one is an Imperial IPA that has been aged, curiously enough for a double IPA, in oak barrels.
