Draft g gadgets is just bad practice in general. At best their impact is pretty small, they're never worth a 2nd contract. Name 5 gadget players that had a big impact in the league. Hell, name 1. Sproles maybe? And has any team ever signed him to a 2nd contract?

But he's not a gadget player. And no coach is going to be successful with him until they realize that. He needs to work every day as a receiver, primarily in 3rd down situations. He's a role player, not a gadget. DAT, unlike McCluster, has the speed and elusiveness to be a gadget option.
