It'd be better if you could find a hay or grass type mulch. Wood won't seal the ground or hold out the heat nearly as well. If you're going to drop coin, go buy cotton seed hulls. Those are the best mulch anyway.

Lizard bud is your friend. Rabbits need to ****ing die. If there are raccoons around trap them and dead them. Neighborhood cats dig in gardens a lot. Dead them if you want too. I won't tell anybody. Just keep them bitches out. Bugs are a big problem when the plants put on fruit here.
