Whether that's the case or not, there's going to be issues with the characterization of Susannah now that the gunslinger is black, because of the detta/odetta arc.

and I agree....LOVE this guy! great actor. but....why does hollywood feel the need to mess with shit like this? Susannah is a BLACK character. inside and out....and it's a big part of why I love her. she can't be WHITE for ****s sake. if she is she'll lose so damn much....well....character. Roland being black....OK...I can hang...because it ain't gonna mess with who Roland is. but Susannah IS BLACK....it is who she is man. not gonna like a white one.....
