We have not been using them for decades. This started in the 1990s and we're being used as guinea pigs.

They have not saved millions of lives. In fact it has not delivered any sizeable gain in food production for the world, most of which has still been done by traditional methods per my reading. The world can still be fed without GMO products. This type of propaganda is from Monsanto and vested interests.
