About 10 years ago I ran across a 944 at a dealership that was in very poor shape. It would have cost a small fortune to repair and the interior had even begun to show signs of decay. If it was in good shape, I would have rolled off the lot with it. Those are very fun cars and I still see a few on the road every now and then.
Have you done any performance modifications to yours? I never looked into that, but I'd imagine if it has a turbo, there's some level of tweaking you can do.

http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Parts/944.html. You can get these up to 500 HP...which for a small, turbo-charged 4 cylinder is just nuts. Mine is about 275 hp..simple mods..still under 5.0 to 60 MPH and gets 28 mpg too...Porsche nailed this car. For street driving..I think anything faster..I would be in danger of killing myself. It's really about the handling though..they beat $140,000 GT3s on short courses. They are spooky in the twisties....my neighbor races M3s..said he hates my car because he cant catch them on the track.
