The house I grew up in was abut a half block from the local high school. They had no student lot & there were only about 50 or so spots on the street in front of the school. So everyone just had to find spots on the street. My street was literally loaded with cars every school day. In fact my friends would just park in my driveway because unless you got there about an hour early you were walking several blocks.
It actually got so bad that they had to make one side of the street no parking because 2 cars couldn't fit in the street at the same time. Once they got that cleared up it wasn't the huge deal people are making it out to be having a few cars parked on the street in front of my house. Honestly I can't think of one time it was an issue at all.
