It's a good question. Sadly, too many GMs, I think, focus on how smart you are or how good of an offense/defense you run. They don't focus on leadership.
Otherwise guys like Romeo and Ron Rivera and Rex Ryan would never have been hired while guys like Mike McCarthy were passed up for years.
