That simply makes no sense. In addition, it has nothing to do with the mainstream media. The mainstream media portrayed Bush as a dope. It certainly didn't hold him up as some kind of adored leader that people should flock to. If they tried to brainwash people, they did a pretty shitty job of making people like Bush. None of what you're talking about is reasonable.
