This means, you go to pick up the mosin in front of you, No message received, log out, back in when server is up, Mosin should still be there.

Yea im not 100% that persistent loot and loot respawn are the same thing but its a huge step. Not to mention tons of items, ragdoll, physics, and most of all huge server architecture improvements.
Now give me DX11 and a bicycle and lets go to waR~
