To be fair, at least 2 of DJ Jackson's fouls were garbage.
I think everyone not on the roster at KU was thinking "ZOMG WTF is the white guy doing?" and didn't pay attention to the steps.

I have no problem with Mason's on the ball defense and defense over screens.
Your point on rim protection is absolutely correct. Jackson is tied with the most blocks on the team. With.......Udoka. ****. Lucas provides some rim protection that doesn't translate to blocks - he mostly just discourages shots, but pretty much every time he goes after a shot he fouls.
